The collection takes its name from the place where the material was extracted.
Specifically, this is the very famous Apuan Versilian basin (Tuscany) in which the famous white Carrara marble and Bardiglio marble are extracted, among the many varieties. The first, much more flexible and workable, used since Roman times, was and still is the undisputed protagonist of the most important sculptural works in human history but also of the most prestigious public and private buildings. . Classified into various types according to the background and veins, it is considered the marble par excellence for its crystalline structure. Bardiglio, on the other hand, is a marble with a more compact and less workable structure for sculptural works but is endowed with extraordinary beauty for its particular veins and for its gray background with shades tending to blue. In architecture, this precious marble has been used above all for floors, walls and decorations in sacred places, often in combination with the classic white Carrara marble. Recently it is finding application, with great aesthetic value, in interior design projects.
Within the collection, the Sicilian designer has created three washbasins, one with a square shape (ESIODO) and two with a circular shape (PLINIO and ALCEO).
